Visit Baltimore is a nonprofit organization that generates economic benefits for the region by marketing Baltimore as an engaging cultural destination for visitors, and an ideal destination for meetings and conventions. Bellweather Agency was chosen to work on their brand redesign and strategy moving forward. My tasks included assisting in developing print and digital deliverables for the new brand

The Baltimore brand is prideful, bold, and fun. The typography picks up on these brand elements by almost being spoken aloud. The rise and fall of the letterforms reference a megaphone or a voice projecting boldly into space. In addition, multiple photographers were hired to produce images of Baltimore’s scenic viewpoints and dynamic portraits. These were later used for either background elements or textures for image masking.

 

Lemon Sticks are an uncanny combination that tastes so good!

 

Fresh Maryland crab ain’t the only treat Baltimore has to offer. What started in the annual FlowerMart in the early 1900s, lemon sticks are a regional favorite served during the rite of spring! Quite literally, a peppermint stick is jammed into the flesh of a lemon. As you get through the base of the peppermint, it starts to dissolve creating a sour and sweet concoction. I had the privilege of making some design concepts for their customary ice tricycle and t-shirts.
